Locus Robotics reports The Quality Group using LocusONE and Fast Pick at Elsdorf to concentrate robots and work assignments around fast-moving SKUs. Its applied-AI orchestration operates alongside dedicated campaign lanes and separate replenishment aisles in a sports-nutrition fulfillment operation exposed to sudden demand spikes.
How it went
The April 2026 report says the site, opened in February 2025, had passed 30 million units picked and achieved 500,000 picks in a single day. That milestone is not a daily average, and the source does not isolate AI's contribution from the equipment, staffing and warehouse design.
Worth knowing
- The robot fleet expanded in stages and could increase during peaks; capacity was part of a Robots-as-a-Service arrangement.
- For your desk: During a promotion, watch pick-face congestion, replenishment waits and orders missing cutoff together. Higher pick counts can conceal a bottleneck further along fulfillment.
