What the company did

Hyperscience reports Hirschbach using Hypercell to turn mixed freight packets into structured JSON. Specialized models and the ORCA vision language model classify and extract bills of lading, PODs, rate confirmations and receipts, while human validators handle low-confidence exceptions.

How it went

In its July 2026 update on an implementation begun in early 2024, Hyperscience reports billing falling from nine days to three and document turnaround from up to four hours to 10–15 minutes. It also reports 98–99% classification accuracy; that measures document classification, not the accuracy of every extracted field.

Worth knowing

  • Claims, OS&D, onboarding and maintenance documents were expansion plans rather than established parts of this deployment.
  • For your desk: Match load references, signatures and accessorial amounts to the original packet. A correctly classified POD can still contain an unreadable signature or a disputed charge.

Supporting evidence and review

Human review required

  • Practical review advice: compare shipment references, signatures and charges with source documents.
  • Resolve low-confidence fields and keep downstream billing approval controls.

Evidence & limitations

  • Provider-published customer deployment report; no independent classification benchmark.
  • The platform was implemented in early 2024; this source is a July 2026 deployment update.
  • Claims, OS&D packets, onboarding and maintenance paperwork are future expansion plans.
