GRUBER Logistics reports using HoverSpect drones for a warehouse inventory project in Pavia. AI analyzed flight images and fed stock data into the WMS, with additional observations on rack occupancy and unstable loads across roughly 30,000 pallet locations.
How it went
For the project completed in summer 2026, GRUBER reports an audit cut from four days to one, an improvement of up to 75% that it says the client cross-checked. Further sites were scheduled tests, rather than completed deployments. Freight Fieldnotes has not independently verified the result.
Worth knowing
- Battery changes still required people, even though much of the stock tracking was automated.
- For your desk: Keep unreadable labels, stock mismatches and unstable-load observations in separate queues. Assign physical inspection before changing a location record or releasing a flagged pallet.
